I provide basic and advanced mechanical consumer product design and development services using SolidWorks.  I have 23 years experience in mechanical consumer product design and 12 years experience with SolidWorks.  I have invented and designed numerous patented and award-winning products for the music and bike industries, most recently the new Yamaha Hexrack acoustic drum rack (patent pending), winner of the 2008 MIPA Award for drum hardware.  Most of these products have achieved market success and remain on the market to this day.

Design specialties include aluminum extrusions, die castings, injection molded structural plastic parts, collapsible portable support structures, and highly adjustable structural joiners.

I am experienced in distance collaboration, having created products for two major Japanese companies, and have worked closely with numerous Asian sources from 1988 to the present, involving extensive travel in China, Malaysia, and Japan (which I enjoy in moderation).
