Garland was founded in 1866 to provide products for the textile industry.  Over the last 141 years, the company has developed a Polymers division specializing in UHMW Polyethylene for high-impact, high-abrasion, and low-friction applications, as well as a Hand Tools division specializing in tools for the metalworking, tool & die, and craft industries under the Garland Rawhide brand of rawhide mallets and rawhide hammers.

Our focus in the UHMW Polyethylene market is on custom profile UHMW extrusion and custom fabricated UHMW parts.  We deliver high-quality products to customers worldwide through our ISO 9000-2001 registered quality system, and process UHMW material that meets or exceeds the ASTM D-4020-05a specification for UHMW Polyethylene.
